About Gateway to Grace
“Grace is not about accommodations but transformation”- Dr. Gary G. Hayles 2011
“Therefore I stationed some of the people behind the lowest points of the wall at the exposed places, posting them by families, with their swords, spears and bows. After I looked things over, I stood up and said to the nobles, the officials and the rest of the people, “Don’t be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, who is great and awesome, and fight for your families, your sons and your daughters, your wives and your homes.” When our enemies heard that we were aware of their plot and that God had frustrated it, we all returned to the wall, each to our own work.” Nehemiah 4:13-15 NIV

Our Story:
In 2010, Dr. Hayles felt a deep calling regarding the effectiveness and the direction of the external ministries of the church that he was leading. The church was structured for spiritual renewal and development. The church had viable, internal ministries in place to guide and care for the needs of the local congregation.

However, the needs of the community were increasing in multiple areas. As a result, Dr. Hayles felt it was necessary to launch into the deep and organize a non-profit entity to meet the needs of the growing community. This desire of Dr. Hayles was to establish a foundation with grace being the driving principle, in order to serve the families and people within the communities.

The establishment of the foundation would also serve as an arm of the ministry to continue outreach opportunities and to form partnerships with the purpose of addressing the concerns of the community.

At the inception of the foundation, Dr. Hayles selected a few others who were concerned for the community including his wife, Pastor Andrea A. Hayles, who shared the common desire to make an impact in the lives of everyday people.

Together they formed The Gateway to Grace Foundation.
